2020 High School Competition
The young voices soared! It was a wonderful event on February 15th when St. Petersburg Opera Guild’ in conjunction with St. Petersburg Opera, celebrated the young voices of Tampa Bay at their 49th annual High School Vocal Competition.
The competition is coordinated and under the direction of Linda Switzer with Melodie Dickerson, David Lawhead and Stephanie Mc Cranie serving as adjudicators. The event at Opera Central, home base for St. Pete Opera, was open to the public, with a reception provided by the members of the Guild
And so, the competition began! So much talent and beautiful voices; nerves were overridden by talent and each competitor provided a delightful and heartfelt performance, making the decisions of the adjudicators so difficult.
